Another Chevette Page!

Welcome Chevette Lovers!
This site is dedicated to the preservation and promotion of that great American motoring icon, the Chevette. You will see pictures, performance info, interesting stuff for Chevette lovers, as well as several of my other off-the-wall interests...which change from time to time.

The Mighty 1981 V6 Chevette!

For many years, this car sported a 2.8L V6 and four-speed from a 1982 S-10 pickup. It was a very dependable, enjoyable and economic package. I highly recommend it. To read the details, click on the car for the V6 Project page:

While you're here...

I hope you'll spend some time to browse my other pages. I have many other interests including music, astronomy and motorcycles, to name a few. Also, my truck project has come out of mothballs with the good weather, and may even get completed this year. Quips & Quotes and Where the Rubber Meets the Road are often light-hearted, sometimes thought-provoking and challenging.

Chevette- the World Class Car:
Throughout the 70's and 80's and even into the 90's, GM built variations of its "T-car" throughout the world. They were produced in Brazil,Argentina, Austrailia, Germany, England, Japan and Korea, as well as Canada and the United States. I have put a sampling of these on my Foreign Models page.

Chevettes in competition:

For the uninitiated, it may seem odd to think of the humble Chevette as anything close to a race car, but such is not the case. In fact, worldwide there are many different forms of racing that have a class for Chevettes. In Canada, the Chevette is used extensively as an ice racer. Here are some samples of the many sites dedicated to various racing efforts:
